Antwerp Giants recorded a loss in Mechelen. Visitors were defeated by Kangoeroes 74-61. Antwerp was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Nick Stampley (193-1999, college: Troy) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. The other American import point guard Joshua Heath (186-1994, college: Georgia Tech) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. Vincent Kesteloot (198-1995) replied with 14 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Andrew Funk (196-1999, college: Penn State) added 12 points in the effort for Antwerp. Antwerp Giants' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kangoeroes will play against Zwolle at home in the next round where they are favorite. Antwerp Giants will play against Leuven to get more than just one victory in their record.
